About Us:

M O'Brien Plant Hire is a leading provider of operated and self-drive plant machinery across the UK. Known for our commitment to safety, sustainability, and service excellence, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Plant Operator Foreman to join our team and lead operations on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a range of plant machinery (excavators, dumpers, dozers, etc.) to a high standard
  • Lead and coordinate plant operatives on site, ensuring safe and efficient operations
  • Conduct pre-start checks and assist with routine maintenance of equipment
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Work closely with site managers to plan and allocate resources
  • Monitor performance and support the training of plant operatives
  • Report any issues or delays and support smooth site operations

Requirements:

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS for relevant plant equipment
  • Proven experience in operating plant machinery in construction or civil engineering
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or foreman role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Good understanding of site safety protocols and procedures
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
